                       FOREVER FALLING

The leaves are rebel angels,

As they plummet, turned scarlet, ashen, and bronze.

In winter, they are snow.

When the crystals melt, they are water in the air.
When the trees fall and a town appears,
The leaves are men and women.

When human beings have moved away or died,
They will, once again, be leaves.
