• 2 Groups - One will transmit the a sentence orally, the other will transmit the message through writing. 

• After the exercise discuss the advantages and disadvantages of orality vs. literacy.

• Consider the following questions as a guide for discussion: Was the message transmitted more accurately orally or by writing? Which was faster? How much did you depend on the source for information?
