My cell wall is fairly thick, which I'm very proud of. Body positivity is key. It is made up of peptidoglycan and teichoic acids which in turn can prevent osmotic lysis of cell protoplast and confer a rigidity and shape on the cell. Pretty cool, if I do say so myself
Another important thing you should know about me is that I, Streptococcus mutans am a gram-positive bacteria. Basically what that means is that during a gram staining test, because I will test positive I will have a purple/violet color when you look at me in all my glory through a microscope. I look fabulous by the way, all the time might I add.

Hey Streptococcus Mutans, we should definitely meet up and go to the park this weekend! Love that we are both cocci shaped and gram positive. I feel like we would be great friends!
